How Real Termehek-mehek?

Have you ever watched Termehek-mehek? I sure that all of us have ever watched this program.Termehek-mehek is one of example from a lot of reality show in our national station television today. And I think it’s the most popular reality show now. After success of temehek-mehek, another television produce other reality show such as ; cinta pertama (first love), cinta monyet (puppy love), backstreet, CLBK (old love blooms), and mak comblang (matchmaker).Although there are so many program similar, but this reality show have a different way in screen.Termehek-mehek is about journey love scene. There is someone who is looking for his/her love, it’s very dramatically because maybe his/her lover have moved to a new life or sometimes passed away. It’s not only to looking for her boyfriend or his girlfriend but everyone who we loved.

As usuall, it’s sure that everything have bad and good sides, have opponent and disopponent. And also this program, there are a lot of suspend or doubt in there. Some people think that this is not a reality live, this program has been scripted before, this is a liar program, and the other issue. And actually I included in some people who didn’t believe about this reality because I think there are  so many exaggerating scene in there. But my opinion have been changed after I got the data from the internet about how real reality show, especially for termehek-mehek.

According to the data that I’ve read, executive producer of termehek-mehek, Herny Mulyani said ” the popularity of reality shows was a response to the fact that many tv programs had been accused of being overtly unrealistic, and we are trying to create something the audience can relate as well as be entertained that by.” She explained that reality TV show plots were also more authentic and engaging than scripted dramas, it’s established from people will feel the emotion if, for example they watch people fighting for real or if they see the crews being beaten. And she also said that despite the ”real” aspect on screen conflict, films crews often try to provoke emotional responses from the participants before the cameras start rolling.”We talk to people about their problems. Some times we ask people related to the participants to work with us also,” she explained.Herny said crew members filmed real negotiations that usually involved conflict, but didn’t air the footage without the consent of the people involved and at the end of the filming,we will persuade them to allow us to use the footage.sometimes we success, other times we have to abandon the shots altogether and some also give their consent conditionally requesting the footage be shown only once or with blurred faces, street signs or just license the plate number.”

So guys, it’s not easy job as we think because we only know the success of air without  know how many failures they have been through during the production. After all, I can conclude that all the stories in termehek-mehek based on true events eventhough there are still need to provoke emotional responses, some editing, and some modification to achieve their desired effect. But I think it’s doesn’t matter because there is no filming without directions from the director. That’s the name of entertainment and we can get much learn of it and make us will be more love and respect anyone that we have now.

Scratch Tradition, Student expression or juvenile Delinquency ?

Every one have known about the tradition in Indonesia. If there are some students pass from National examination it must be celebrated by scratch each other. Maybe it also happened with us when we still at 3 grade of  Senior high school.

Student think that it just their happinest expression, to show with  us, as society, that ” we have finished this long way, we have finished the weary and exhausted way “. Some times it also followed by ” Drink” party and motor cycle track. As if they want to show that they are strong people that must be respected.

If we talk about this problem from adolescent side, everything is fine and there is no devergence form, because at this moment their emotion still labil.

From psychology side also explain that adolescent time is a moment when their emotion is in high level and it has inclination over in doing something. In addition , there is no good facilities to help them to express their emotion, so that they choose scratch, “drink” party, or some thing like that as a choice.

But if we see from different side, society,  it must be something wrong with them, people thought that it useless thing. Make a noisy, and sometimes cause the traffic jam. They don’t care about student expresion or labil emotion that they have.

So if we see both of them, there is miss understanding about this problem, student thought that poeple including their parents and society don’t understand their expression, in addition there is no facilities to help them keep their emotion to the “right way”. But people thought that itwas juvenile delinquency form and useless thing.

This problem can be solved if both of side support and appreciate each other.

People especially as  a parents and teachers must guide the students that we can’t express what we want to show abundantly and disturb the other people, they must teach, keep their emotion and aim it to the righ way.

Even parents or teacher can provide special space as a facilities like wall, or long empty clothes that can be used for them to express their emotion, so that student can scratch in that place as their expression.

We also can make like an wall painting contest as an alternative , it will help student to flow their emotion to the positives  way, isn’t it ?

The student it self must realise that there are many things that can be choosed as an alternative, than scracth each other, make noisy,or some thing like that. It will give bad effect.

Finally, I’m sure this  problem can be solved if both of side support and appreciate each other.

You better read the article below CAREFULLY.

Guys, it seemed like no one RESPONDED to the “This Week’s Post” announcement on last week. The result? Look what we had: FIVE posts regarding National Final Examination. Seriously.

I asked the writers of last week’s post to REPLY to the announcement that I made. For what? Of course to avoid the similar posting topic! Two posts regarding similar topic is more than enough. Even the responders of last week wondered why we had so many posts under the same topic.

That’s why, to avoid the same thing from occuring again, you gotta do the things below:

  1. Never ever forget to categorize your post. Because this is week 2, you have to categorize it as ‘Week 2′. I’ve told you how to categorize your post on on the “REMINDER” post. Just search for it. This is very important for archiving, and you know, re-categorizing your post quite a thing that I can do so often. This blog is belonged to us all. So be responsible.
  2. Send a comment/respond below this post to announce your topic of this week. This is for the writers of the week only. There’re only two posts under the same topic are allowed.  If you want to submit your topic, but you’re already on the third of the line, sorry dude, you better find another topic. It’s first come first serve.
